- Always carry a compass and lighter.
- Don"t Forget your gun and ammo.
- Always carry a sharp knife and rope.
- Scout your hunting area early.
- Don't forget to buy your license.
- Always wear your Blaze Orange.
- Keep your feet warm and dry.
- Dress in layers.
- Make a check list before you leave to go hunting.
- Carry water, not beer..
- Bring a lunch.
- Wear a harness if using a tree stand.
- Remain still! Do not move unless absolutely necessary!
- Look for trees that will have the most acorns.
- Take some deer droppings and smear them on your boots to help cover your scent. (I hear they freeze well too.)
- Get your tree stand up early.

Did you know that Deer see "blue UV Glow"?
Well todays camo is made in China. They add brighteners to enhance the colors of the camo cloth. So Deer see blue in camo like we see blaze orange.
If you are wondering how you can tell if your camo is ultra blue, use a "black light"
it will glow like the 70's posters.
So to take care of this you should use laundry soap for your hunting cloths that has "no brighteners".
We use Scent Killer, liquid clothing wash from Wildlife Research Center.
